Faith Kids Program:
A Rockin Royal Christmas by Celeste Clydesdale is the Christmas Story. The main characters are those we read about in the Gospels. With the help of the choir, this story takes you back in time two thousand years. A very angry King Herod has hired an investigator (Sherlock Watson) to find out why the wise men never returned and where this baby King is. Sherlock eagerly heads straight to the Bethlehem library to do some research. Sherlock finds that Jesus is indeed, the King of kings. Because of his discovery, Sherlock decides that he will serve Jesus, the King of kings, instead of Herod.

On Sunday, December 8th, we ask ALL faith kids to wear Christmas colored clothing for the program. Preschoolers will assemble in the Youth/Commons Room at 5:45PM and K-5th grade students will gather in the LAC at 5:45 PM. The programs starts at 6PM.
Preschoolers will stay with their Church School leaders for the 1st 3 songs, then the leaders will bring them into the sanctuary to perform songs number 3-"Unforgettable, Incredible Not so Silent Night!" and song number 4-"When the Little Baby Boy was Born". The preschoolers will all be lined up on the front steps of the sanctuary stage. After the 4th song, we will escort the preschoolers out to the gathering area. Parents, please pick up your child there and bring them to sit with you for the rest of the performance.
Each year we have the Faith Kids Christmas Program during our Family Christmas Celebration event held the 2nd Sunday of December. All Faith Kids are part of the program. They will learn songs in Sunday School to share during the program. We need children for special parts in the Children’s Program. These special parts will have auditions in early November and all kids who audition will receive a part. Kids who audition will have 4 to 5 rehearsals to learn their parts. Rehearsals are usually held Sunday afternoons. There is a Dress Rehearsal for ALL Faith Kids, including the whole Sunday School on the Saturday morning before the event.
We bring a touch of Bethlehem to Faith Lutheran during this event. We have an afternoon and evening full of activities for all ages. Invite your family, friends and neighbors out for a night of fun! There will be a “Live Nativity”! Families can see and touch real animals of the manger scene: camels, cows, sheep and donkeys. Talk to Mary, Joseph, the shepherds, wise men and shopkeepers to find out what it was like during the time of Jesus birth. They all have gifts to share with you to remind us all of the “Good News of Jesus”.
Tickets are available for purchase if you would like to add to the evening by having supper at the church. The tickets also include craft activities for kids and families to enjoy.
