There are numerous opportunities for our older adults to gather for food, fellowship, and fun!
Three to Four times per year, Faith Lutheran caters a luncheon in the fellowship hall and an after dinner speaker or entertainment. Other opportunities are trips to museums, plays, and exhibits. Watch for events and dates posted in the weekly bulletin announcements and newsletter.
Seniors use their time and gifts to accomplish great things - together. A dedicated team of volunteers adds inserts to worship bulletins Friday mornings. On Thursdays, the FROGS (Fully Retired Older Guys) prepares the sanctuary for worship services. Numerous senior volunteers help in the organization of our welcome cards, registrations, prayer chain, and assisting staff.
Many senior adults use their gifts to help others. Whether it is meal delivery to homebound, quilting, visitation, ushering, tallying offerings, office projects (mailings, foldings, data entry), Family Promise Housing Weeks for the Homeless (coordinating volunteers, driving the van, preparing meals, serving as overnight hosts) they serve the church, community, and world!
Faith Lutheran's Senior Adult Ministries provides opportunities for friendship and service. For more information on upcoming events, please check weekend bulletins or the homepage of our website.
